TGIF 🙂 Wasn’t such a bad week with the bank holiday last Monday, but great to be Friday again!!
I had the most lovely Thursday evening last night. I was treated to an amazing experience at the Luxury 5* K Club Spa.
I arrived at 4pm and checked in and completed the medical form as required from any salon or spa, then I was taken into the changing rooms, and given a big fluffy robe and slippers.
It was then off to the relaxation room. Pure Bliss. This little room had a number of beds, and a couple of couches to choose to sit on. The lights were dimmed and there was lovely soft music playing lightly in the background. I lay on one of the beds and picked up a magazine for a browse. I felt complete relaxation within seconds!!
A few minutes later my lovely therapist, Sinead came in and got me and took me off to the ‘poppy’ room for my ‘Voya Facial Experience’.
This was just unreal. I’ve never been one for spas and I’ve never actually had a proper facial done in a salon. The only time I had a mini facial was when I was the guinea pig during beauty school 10 years ago!
The Voya Facial experience I opted for consisted of a double deep cleanse, followed by the application of finely ground bamboo that gently exfoliated the face. At this point I was so relaxed, and having a nice little yap with my therapist. She then moved on to do a deep moisturising mask to hydrate the skin and a seaweed mask that hydrates and plumps tired skin.
Following this she gave me a beautiful facial massage and took it down to my shoulders too. She also incorporated a light head massage to finish off. It lasted 55min in today and was amazing! I will 100% be getting more facials in the near future, that’s for sure!
When this was finished I was taken to the Pedicure station and given a Deluxe Pedicure. My feet were soaked in bubbles for a few mins and then she got to with in the nails, cuticles and worked on the hard skin. She said my feet were great and not a bit of hard skin in sight 🙂 My feet were then wrapped up in heated foot muffs and I was given a delicious Cafe Mocha and told to relax for a few mins. She came back gave me a foot and leg massage and finished off with a French polish.
After the spa I got ready and headed over to the Clubhouse and sat out on the veranda for a little bit as the sun was still shining and it was still lovely and warm.
We then headed in for our 3 course meal. For starters I had a gorgeous homemade tomato soup, it was delicious! Then the main came out and I was mesmerised! I had never seen a lamb cutlet so big in my entire life, it was like a fillet steak!
It was cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing!
Dessert was raspberry creme brûlée, which I’m not a fan of, I’m all about texture, but the guys that ate it said it was delicious.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and could get very used to heading off to a nice spa every once in a while. My husband has his instructions hehe.
I would highly recommend the K Spa for a lovely girls day out.
