It’s been a while since I have had the chance to post on the blog, but I’m back and hopefully will now have more time to bring more regular posts.
I got really excited when I came across this P.S Love Coconut body range in Penneys! I absolutely love anything Coconut, especially a coconut body butter. I have been a big fan of the body shop coconut body butter for a longtime, it just reminds me of summer and holidays. It’s something I always bring on holidays with me, and then when I smother myself with it after a holiday it just brings me right back to the poolside. It’s amazing how a smell can bring back so many memories and take you back to where you want to be there and then 🙂
I picked these up during the week in the Penneys, Blanchardstown store, after posting details of the range on my Facebook page, and lots of my lovely readers confirmed they had them in Blanchardstown.
I’ve been using the range since then, and really really love it. It is exactly the same as the body shop range, for a fraction of the cost, and let’s be honest, we all love a good purse friendly dupe!!
Reviewing in the order of my use 🙂
First up we have the Coconut Bath Bomb
This bath bomb is just €1.50 and is quite a big size, so you don’t need to use it all in one go. I chopped it in half and used it on Sunday and really loved it. I’m not a lover of bath’s, I much prefer a shower, but I do like the odd soak and after I popped this into the bath while I was running it the beautiful scent of coconut filled the house. In I went for a soak and It was devine!!!
Next up we have the Coconut Body Scrub
LOVE IT! It costs just €2.50 for a 240g tub. When you get it and open the lid it’s covered over with a foil so you know no paws have been in it before you. This again smells beautiful. I’ll be honest, with the price of these products I was thinking the scent may not be strong enough or long lasting, but I was wrong. It’s quite an oily texture scrub it and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth. Because it is quite gently you could use it on a daily basis while showering or bathing. A little goes a long way too. You can apply this direct to your skin with your hands, or on a sponge/face cloth and rub it in until it develops a little foam, then rinse it off with fresh water.
Then there is the beautiful Coconut Body Wash
Following my full body scrub, after rinsing myself off I turned my bath into a quick shower and used this fab body wash. It’s a lovely light textured body wash that develops into a generous lather, leaving you feeling squeaky clean. Hmmmm I can smell the coconut freshness still as I’m writing this! I didn’t want the shower to end!!! But good things always come to an end, especially when your hubby needs some hot water left for himself haha 🙂
After my bath & shower I tried out the Coconut Body Butter
Around this time of year, body butters are an amazing way to give your body the extra moisture it needs, and likewise, a body butter is a preference of mine over a lotion while on holidays because my skin always feels tighter and drier after being in the sun.
This rich and creamy Body Butter is a lovely treat for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. Its a totally tropical coconut scent too. Just massage it into skin paying extra attention to drier areas. Be generous! It’s a thick cream but really easy to spread and quickly absorbs into the skin. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky, and your left with long lasting silky smooth skin and smelling like a holiday 🙂 you all know what I mean when I say that right??? Just me ?
Again when you open the lid it’s covered over with a foil.It costs just €3.00 and comes in a 200ml tub. Bargain!
Now onto the Coconut Body Oil
Body oils can be used for so many things and a little always goes a long way. During the week on the days I was rushing I lashed this onto my skin after my showers. It’s best to use a body oil post-shower for instant hydration and use it on slightly damp skin so that it absorbs quickly. A little goes a long way!
I have also been trying it out dry areas on my face for a couple of days and find it is working really nice. Oils make excellent face moisturizers too, but don’t put them on if you have oily skin. While the oils won’t clog your pores, less is more. They are quite nice to use as a little treatment on the face like a mask, leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off.
Another use I made of it was a small amount on my cuticles after filing and painting my nails. Oils are great nourishment for your cuticles.
This 100ml bottle costs just €2.50.
Now onto the Coconut Body Milk
This one I haven’t yet used had the chance to use all over my body, but have recently run out of hand cream so I’ve been using it on my hands all week and I’m loving it. It’s a lovely light texture and non greasy and again smells emotional 🙂 It comes in a 200ml bottle and costs just €2.50.
Lastly onto the Coconut Lip Balm
Note : this is not covered in a foil and to my disgust when I got home and opened it somebody had poked their witchy finger inside to test it out without making the purchase so just check yours before you pick it up. Not to worry, I just scooped a little later from the top of mine before starting to use it.
For a lip balm it’s nice and thick. With the cold weather outside I have found it quite nourishing to my dry lips, but do find it wears off quite quickly so find I am applying it a good bit. It’s not as strong scented as the rest of the products but enough considering it’s going right under your nose 😉 I really like it, especially for the bargain price of €1.50, and again, a little does go a long way.
So that’s it’s girls, I would highly recommend this range, it’s pocket friendly and leaves you with fabulous silky smooth skin smelling of sweet coconuts. Heaven!!
