So following on from my food diary post, i have had about 50 private messages and loads of comments asking about the Clean Spice Bag’ so i’ve done up how i make it for you guys….
NeedsnotWants Clean Spice Bag
*3 Large Chicken Breasts, cut into thinish strips
*One large onion, cut into thin slices
*Red, yellow & green peppers, cut into strips
*Half bag of ground almond
*Tblsp chilli powder
*Tblsp garlic powder
*2 large eggs beaten
*1 large sweet potato cut into chunks
What to do:
Preheat your oven to 200° and pop in your sweet pototo chunks into the oven with a sprinkle of chilli powder over them
In 1 bowl have your eggs beaten together
In another bowl, mix together your ground almond, garlic powder, chilli powder, chilli flakes & paprika
Heat a tablespoon of coconut oil on a large pan
Take your chicken strips one by one and first coat it in the egg and then coat it in the almond mix. Pop it straight onto the pan (make sure you have a good non stick frying pan for this)
Once you have each piece of chicken coated and on the pan, start with the first one and turn each piece over to brown the other side.
Once they are browned remove them from the pan and onto a baking tray and cook them in the oven for about 15-20mins.
While the chicken and sweet potato are cooking, add some more coconut oil to the pan and fry up your onions and peppers adding some more of the spices to these also…
When the chicken and sweet potato is cooked, remove from the oven, and add everything together on the pan and toss it and then serve.
